The Waiapu Anglican Social Services Trust Board is a large provider of social services to communities within the Diocese of Waiapu, which extends from Tauranga in the north to Woodville in the south.

Our services are an integral part of the activity within the Diocese, and  touch the lives of many -  we have a professional staff of over 500, assisted by 500 volunteers, delivering services to 21,500 people in our regions every year.

Our services cover 4 areas of provision:
Early Childhood Services
Growing through Grief  and the
Seasons™ programme
Family and Community Development
Services to Older People

Whether you are looking for a particular service or to learn more about our activities in general, we are pleased to share with you our passion for high quality services, delivered in partnership with the people of our communities.

OUR WORK FOR SOCIAL JUSTICE

We encourage you to check out the NZ Council for Christian Social Service's campaign to reduce inequalities in our society - WHAKATATA MAI - "reducing inequality makes for a better country for us all".

The government's Welfare Working Group has proposed sweeping changes to our current welfare system.  If adopted, they will impact very strongly on the poorest members of our communities, especially children, and our social service delivery centres.  The Welfare Working Group's recommendations anticipate leaving a quarter of a million people in poverty, says Welfare Justice - Alternative Welfare Working Group chair Mike O'Brien.
