There are no current vacancies for Growing Through Grief Coordinators, but opportunities do arise from time to time. The role is described below.

For those with interest in this work, there are always opportunities to join our service as a volunteer, working as a Seasons Companion facilitating small groups of children who attend our programmes. For many this has proved a positive first step in becoming involved with the service and/or work of this kind. Several of our current coordinators were involved initially as volunteers. We would welcome your interest.

Growing Through Grief Coordinators work with a team to provide the Seasons programme for children and young people experiencing loss and grief.

Excellent communication skills, organizational ability and experience working with children required.

As essential aspects of the Coordinator's role, a successful applicant will:
•Respond to enquiries from parents, caregivers and agencies etc and take enrolments.
•Coordinate a team of volunteer facilitators
•Oversee the weekly delivery of the programme
•Work in conjunction with a local management committee
•Keep records, present a written monthly report and attend to other administrative tasks
•Be responsible for publicity, promotion and networking
•Undertake initial training and ongoing professional development

The ideal person will have volunteer and/or work experience in a social service or educational organisation. A relevant qualification would be an advantage.
