BEACHAVEN COMMUNITY HOUSE, Papamoa
Beachaven Community House is a place for people of all ages to gather, make new friends and find support. Papamoa is a fast growing community where many people are new to the area. This can often leave people feeling isolated and alone. Beachaven has a number of groups that anyone can attend in our homely environment at the far end of Papamoa Beach Road. These include playgroups, craft groups for kids and adults, music group, recreation group, walking group and a monthly lunch for our seniors.
Our staff also offer counselling and advocacy for individuals and families.
Beachaven's mission is "To provide fellowship and friendship to the people of Papamoa East. We offer a meeting place and shared activities that help support families and strengthen our community".
A koha is appreciated and no referral required.

PAPAMOA SUPPORT CENTRE, Papamoa
Papamoa Community Support centre is a community social service agency which has been operating in the Papamoa area since 1993. Papamoa is an area near Tauranga, experiencing rapid growth from being a small seaside town to a busy suburb of 20,000 people, projected to develop to a population of at least 30,000.
Services are provided by 10 staff, most of whom are part time. Services include Community Education, Budget Advice, Family Support, Youth Services, Seniors Support, Counselling, information giving and advice. Our primary goal is to assist people to take positive action in their lives by providing expertise, support, resources and information.
A number of different agencies and organisations also use this facility to provide services to the community. These include Probation, ACC, Relationship Services, Mental Health services, Police and private practitioners (eg counsellors, psychologists).
